The term JK flip flop comes after its inventor Jack Kilby. The JK flip flops are considered to be the most efficient flip-flop and can be used for certain applications on its own. The flip-flops are also called as latching devices meaning it can remember one single bit of data and latch the output based on it, due to this property they are commonly used as shift registers, control registers, storage registers or where ever a small memory is required. The JK flip flop is considered to be more suitable for practical application because of its truth table that is the output of the flip flop will be stable for all types of inputs.

It is used to give the clock pulse to the first JK flip flop. It is used to reset the output of first flip flop. Input 1, J Pin 4 Pin 4 is the first input pin of the first flip flop. It is used to give the first input data bit to the IC.
VCC Pin 5 Pin 5 is used as the power pin. It is used to power up the IC to make it functional. It is used to give the clock pulse to the clock of the second JK flip flop. It is used to reset the output of second flip flop. Input 2, J Pin 9 Pin 9 is the first input pin of the second flip flop. It will give the inverted output of Pin It will give the output bit of the second flip flop. Input 2K Pin 12 Pin 12 is the second input pin of the second flip flop. It is used to give the second input data bit to the IC.
GND Pin 13 Pin 13 is a ground pin. It will give the output bit of the first flip flop. Input 1K Pin 16 Pin 16 is the second input pin of the first flip flop. The output will be depending on almost every input pin. Now the other input pin knows as preset. The reset pin and clear will have these states at different inputs.
