Today many people are asking questions about new ways to live their personal and professional lives. They want to bring a spiritual context to their own lives and make a difference in society and the world at large. Some seek career change, some want to do what they do from a different context — beyond conflict, beyond blame — bringing compassion and an open heart to their worlds. To do so they know they need to transform themselves and their histories and learn different ways to be with themselves and in relationship to others. This is an inner journey of development, a journey to evoke the person that I really am!

I want to pursue things I am really passionate about, aligned with a deep sense of purpose and meaning. Our core offering is designed to serve this inner development. It will lead to an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology. For some, these two years will provide a platform for to further clinical training through the Institute in Coaching, Counselling and Psychotherapy Is the way easy to follow? Will it work? Yes, we have spent many years developing a potent and deeply transformative journey for individuals.
The Institute of Psychosynthesis is a psychospiritual self-development centre in North London, that offers a wide range of people a training in Inner Resilience Core Training to enable them to make a significant difference in their worlds.
Some people then go on to a clinically accredited programme in psychotherapy, counselling and coach training. For an introduction to the Psychosynthesis way of working, you are most welcome to attend one of our Open Events. If you feel inspired by this experience, it can be followed up by attending our transformational and acclaimed 4-day Fundamentals of Psychosynthesis course. We also offer additional post-graduate options for further professional development. These include CPD courses and supervisors training courses.
If you have any queries about psychosynthesis, our training or anything else, please feel free to get in touch. Roger H Evans, Co-founder The Institute of Psychosynthesis As a basic introduction to Psychosynthesis this podcast describes this unique approach to psychology developed by Dr. Roberto Assagioli.
Roberto Assagioli in his own words
Life[ edit ] Assagioli was born on 27 February in Venice , Italy , and came from a middle-class Jewish background. He was born under the name Roberto Marco Grego, son of Elena Kaula and Leone Greco; however his biological father died when Assagioli was two years old and his mother remarried to Alessandro Emanuele Assagioli soon afterward. Assagioli was exposed to many creative outlets at a young age, such as art and music, which were believed to have inspired his work in Psychosynthesis. By the age of 18, he had learned eight different languages, namely Italian his native tongue , English , French , Russian , Greek , Latin , German , and Sanskrit. It was at this age he also began to travel, mainly to Russia , where he learned about social systems and politics. His son died at the age of 28 from lung disease, which was accredited to severe stress from the harsh living conditions during the war.
Psychosynthesis Star Diagram formulated by Roberto Assagioli "I" is the direct "reflection" or "projection" of Self Assagioli and the essential being of the person, distinct but not separate from all contents of experience. Psychosynthesis suggests that "we can experience the will as having four stages. We might still feel that we cannot actually do it, but we know It is "I" who is aware of the psyche-soma contents as they pass in and out of awareness; the contents come and go, while "I" may remain present to each experience as it arises. But "I" is dynamic as well as receptive: "I" has the ability to affect the contents of awareness and can even affect awareness itself, by choosing to focus awareness as in many types of meditation , expand it, or contract it.
